Our activities are divided into seven areas/majors fields. The mission of IPHD ยซ IFME ยป is to contribute to human growth/ development through awareness of our seven areas of interventions. The overall aim is to support/ develop or create projects ranging from the development of human. The IPHD use seven areas of interventions to promote human development by bringing solutions for the United Nations red alerts by sustaining the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goas Worldwide. We design and implement research projects. We publish policy analyses, policy briefs, working papers and reports. Our policy briefs include to the point recommendations for decision-makers. Our objective is to prepare and convey our research results most effectively to the broadest possible audience

By improving the design, structure, and functionality of the site, this assignment will directly support our ability to raise awareness, attract resources, share updates, and engage a wider audience. Organizational Background IFME-IPHD-International Promoting Human Development is a UN-accredited NGO committed to promote sustainable development delivering education programs, etc. We operate across local, regional, global and implement programs in areas of our seven zones of interventions Our website currently serves as the primary information hub for: Sharing news and reports about our projects; Publishing research and advocacy content; Promoting events and campaigns; Encouraging donations and volunteer sign-ups; Building partnerships and collaborations. We are now in the process of improving our digital presence to reflect our growing activities and better serve the communities and stakeholders we engage with. This includes a refreshed website that is secure, mobile-responsive, visually engaging, and easy to update. Project Context This volunteer assignment is part of a larger digital transformation initiative, which includes: Developing a new or updated website with improved navigation and accessibility; Integrating essential tools such as mailing lists, contact forms, and donation options; Ensuring the website complies with modern web standards (SEO, mobile, security); Aligning content with our branding and programmatic updates. The volunteer's contributions will be critical in shaping how we present ourselves to the world and how effectively we can connect with audiences online. What the Volunteer Needs to Know To succeed in this role, the volunteer should be aware of the following: Our Mission and Tone: We aim to communicate our values in a professional, inclusive, and action-oriented tone. Target Audiences: Our key audiences include donors, partners, beneficiaries, media, and the general public. Content Types: The site includes static pages (e.g., About, Contact), dynamic sections (e.g., blog, events), and multimedia (e.g., photos, videos). Access credentials, branding guidelines, and relevant content will be provided at the beginning of the assignment. Languages: The site is primarily in [language], but may require multilingual capabilities if part of our outreach strategy. The volunteer will receive onboarding documents, a clear timeline, and regular support from a focal point within the team.
Task Description As a volunteer Website Developer, you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and maintenance of our organizationโs website. Your tasks will include: Website Development & Design Technical Integration Security & Backups Work Environment: This is a remote/online volunteer position. You will work independently, with regular check-ins and collaborative tools to ensure alignment with the team. Team Collaboration: You will collaborate primarily with the Communications/IT Team and may occasionally interact with project managers, content writers, or other online volunteers (e.g., designers, translators). Communication Tools: Email โ For regular updates and file exchanges. Virtual Meetings โ Weekly or bi-weekly Zoom/Google Meet calls for project updates and feedback (30โ60 minutes). Project Management Tools โ Use of Trello, Slack, or Google Drive for organizing tasks, tracking progress, and sharing materials. Chat (optional) โ Real-time coordination through WhatsApp or Slack channels if necessary. Status Updates: Submit brief progress updates via email or project dashboard (e.g., Trello) twice per week. Notify the team in advance of any blockers or delays. Key milestones and deadlines will be communicated in advance. Availability: While most work is asynchronous, availability for one virtual check-in per week is preferred (time coordinated to suit volunteerโs timezone).
