1) Technical (EDF Core and MSMEs)
Fund design and operations (grants/co-investment/guarantees): SOPs, eligibility criteria, approval flows, and control mechanisms. Business due diligence: risk analysis, document verification, conflict of interest checks. MSME financial analysis: cashflow, ratios, CAPEX/OPEX, evaluation of investment plans and scenarios. Portfolio management: pipeline, sectoral/territorial balance, cycle times, case file quality, and closures. Safeguards (ESMS): E&S risk screening, mitigation plans, and monitoring. Compliance and contracts: basic procurement, contractual structures, verifiable milestones, and fund-use evidence. Planning and control: timelines, budgets, critical paths, EVM (SPI/CPI), and change management. Risk management: fiduciary, operational, E&S, and reputational; contingency planning. Team leadership: coaching, setting OKRs/KPIs, feedback, and continuous improvement. Multi-stakeholder negotiation: banks, chambers, suppliers, local governments, and technical partners. Committee facilitation: case preparation, evidence-based decision-making, and agreement closure. Advanced Excel (financial models, pivot tables, Power Query). BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) for portfolio dashboards and KPIs. IMS/CRM for case management (evidence upload/validation, traceability). Collaborative suites (SharePoint/Teams/Drive) and impeccable technical writing.4) Context and Regulatory (Ecuador/LAC)
MSME ecosystems and local value chains. Business formalization: RUC, municipal permits, IESS, trademarks; basic knowledge of SERCOP. Engagement with local banks/IFIs and public competitiveness programs. Languages For this position, fluency in English and Spanish is required (oral and written).
