About this position
We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented, and proactive professional. As the Visas Unit Consultant, you will support the visa process for all IDB employees and help with other related processes such as driver licenses, IDs, work permits, and registration at the US Department of State.
You will work in the HR Service Center, part of the Human Resources Department.
What youโll do
- Act as the registered liaison between the Bank and the US Department of State for all required processes and communications, including reporting IDB visa information via their E-GOV portal.
- Work with the outsourced visa services provider, to ensure timely case resolutions and case management through the bankโs case management system (SNOW)
- Ensure data quality maintenance, and control reports around the assigned processes (G4- G5 visas, work permits) including recurrent monthly control reports.
- Manage and maintain the Visa Management System (VMS), Visa website, brochures, newsletters and other communications tools.
- Provide support in the visa application process for IDB employees.
- Ensure compliance with visa regulations and policies.
- Maintain accurate records of visa applications and statuses.
- Collaborate with other HR teams to ensure seamless support for employees and Communicate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the visa process.
- Assist employees in obtaining required documents for the driver licenses and IDs request and support the process of requesting and renewing work permits.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to visa and other processes. As well as, participate in continuous improvement initiatives for all related processes.
What you'll need
โข Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
โข Experience: At least 2 years of progressive experience in data management, HR operations, business process analysis and/or compliance with regulations, policies and procedures. Advanced Excel skills required. Preferred experience in SAP, Service Now and Power BI.
โข Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

โข Citizenship: International Consultant. You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
โข Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
