VCCRP Project Management Unit (PMU) Finance Manager

The Vanuatu Community-based Climate Resilience Project (VCCRP) is the largest community-based adaptation project ever delivered in the Pacific. Funded primarily by the Green Climate Fund with support from the Vanuatu and Australian Governments and Save the Children Australia, the project aims to transform how communities in Vanuatu effectively respond to the growing impacts of climate change.

Where you come in:

In this full-time role based in Port Vila, Vanuatu, you will use your financial management expertise to lead all aspects of financial operations for the VCCRP Project Management Unit (PMU). You will work closely with the Ministry of Climate Change’s Department of Climate Change (DoCC), Save the Children Vanuatu, and other implementing partners to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial management, reporting, communication and oversight.

Key responsibilities include:

· Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the VCCRP program, including the provision of accurate, timely, clear financial data to inform programming and operational decision making

· Supporting financial compliance with donor, government, and Save the Children policies.

· Managing financial acquittals, disbursements, cash flow, and tranche requests

· Providing timely and accurate financial information to non-finance colleagues and managers including programming staff.

You will make an impact by:

· Ensuring the financial integrity and efficiency of a multi-million-dollar climate resilience program.

· Acting as the key focal point for all finance-related matters across the VCCRP.

· Building strong relationships with government departments, donors, and project partners.

· Strengthening financial capacity and governance across the PMU and implementing agencies.

This role requires:

· Significant experience in humanitarian or development programming and financial management.

· Strong understanding of financial systems, compliance, and risk management.

· Excellent communication skills, especially in translating financial information for non-finance stakeholders.

· High attention to detail and proficiency in Excel.

· Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting, or a related field.

· Experience with the Vanuatu Government Financial Management System is an advantage.
