Mission and objectives The Knowledge Project is a partnership between UNDP and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation seeking to promote knowledge generation and dissemination in the Arab region and beyond since 2008. It builds on three Arab Knowledge Reports, the Arab Knowledge Index, the knowledge4all portal, the Arab Reading Index, the Future of Knowledge Report and the Global Knowledge Index (GKI).

ContextThe Knowledge4All portal is a regional platform that curates knowledge products, tools, insights, and supports skills development to empower policymakers, youth, changemakers, and citizens across the Arab States region. As part of its upcoming revamp, we are looking for skilled UX/UI professionals to conduct a review of the portal's design and user experience. Volunteers will evaluate how intuitive, accessible, and engaging the platform is for different user groups and provide suggestions to improve layout, visual hierarchy, interaction design, and overall usability. Your insights will directly support the ongoing development process and contribute to creating a more user-centered, impactful platform.

Task DescriptionTask Description: Volunteers will review the Knowledge4All portalโ€™s current user interface and user experience to identify areas where the design, navigation, and interactions can be improved. The task involves assessing visual consistency, readability, usability, and accessibility across both desktop and mobile views. Volunteers will provide clear, actionable recommendations to enhance the platformโ€™s overall design, user flow, and engagement. Feedback may include annotated visuals or brief reports that highlight key suggestions to support the portalโ€™s ongoing revamp. Key Tasks: -Evaluate the overall user journey and interaction flow -Assess visual layout, consistency, and readability -Identify design and navigation challenges across devices -Check for accessibility and inclusivity in design -Provide practical, user-centered improvement suggestions -Share findings through annotated screenshots or short reports
