About this position
We are looking for detailed oriented and passionate professional, who will help us change people lives in Latin America and the Caribbean supporting the management of grant and externally financed projects through trust funds and co-financing resources.
You will work in the Grants and Cofinancing Management Unit (GCM) part of the Office of Outreach and Partnerships (ORP). GCM serves as an accountable interface that links partners resources to IDB projects, knowledge products, and programs that meet the needs of Latin America and the Caribbean through close coordination with IDBGโs operational units and the Resource Mobilization Division. The GCM key functional areas include managing partner resources, ensuring compliance with donor agreements and IDB policies, aSupervis well as reporting back to partners.
What youโll do
- Operations Support
o Review the reports of the operations in the technical cooperation operation system (TCM) assuring good quality data.
o Review project information for completeness and soundness.
o Support Fund Coordinators in the Quality and Risk Review (QRR) of the operations.
o Prepare Annual/Semi-Annual Reports for the donors.
o Conduct data collection and analysis.
o Assist in the fiduciary management of the grant and cofinancing resources, by ensuring that resources are allocated, managed, and reported according to the legal administration agreement with the donors.
o Support the closing of operations, and coordination with the internal stakeholders, either entering in donor agreement for re-using the resources for new projects or returning them to the donor.
o Prepare presentations for stakeholders as required by the Fund Coordinators or the Chief

o Prepare PowerPoint presentations, reports and other outputs as required collecting information and inputs from GCM Team members.
o Prepare, coordinate and follow-up on travel arrangements, in addition to preparation travel expenses reports.
o Official communications:
ยง Manage ORP/GCM inbox.
ยง Prepare emails, letters and facilitate process of signing documents, letters, etc.
ยง Formatting of documents in MS Word according to Bankโs standards.
o Submission of documents for publication in the Office of the Secretary (SEC) D2S system.
o Undertake translation as needed.
o Review translations.
What you'll need
- Education: Associate degree in Economics, Political Science, Business Administration, International Relations, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
- Experience: Between 2 and 5 years of progressive experience in resource management and/or reporting.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.

Core and Technical Competencies:
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Office; Powerpoint and Excel, creating tables and organizing data, a must.
- Experience of other business management or resources planning, accounting, or reporting IT applications and systems.
- Ability to work with data, to create informational reports.
- Strong attention to detail, to verify the accuracy of financial and operational data for data integrity and reporting consistency.
- Ability to read through donor funding legal agreements (e.g., establishing trust funds, or project specific grants (PSGs)) and identify clauses relevant to ORP/GCM areas of work (e.g., donor reporting periodicity; destination of unused resources after a project is closed; donor contribution schedule and tranches, etc.).
- Excellent time management skills to comply with strict deadlines within overall roll-out schedule.
Requirements
- Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
