    Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

    The position of Travel Analyst is assigned to the Procurement and Contracts Division (CSPC) within the Corporate Services Department (CSD). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

    You will report to the designated International Staff and Senior Officer.

    Your Role

    As a Travel Analyst, you will be responsible for research, data management, coordination, and report preparation on important issues in the Travel Section operations.

    You will:

  • Conduct research and benchmarking to support enhancements to ADB's travel policies; and analyze best practices in the corporate travel sector to inform internal policy reviews. Draft memos, updates to administrative circulars, and develop travel-related communications and create content for internal webpages and newsletters.
Provide guidance on preferred airlines, hotels, and estimated travel costs for mission planning. Support staff in using the Concur system to create compliant travel itineraries and requests. Review and process travel requests and post-mission documentation within Concur. Compile briefing kits and draft responses for interdepartmental reviews on travel-related topics, including New Hire Orientation and interdepartmental training sessions Conduct internal surveys to collect staff feedback on travel procedures and policies. Collaborate with internal departments and travel vendors to ensure mission readiness and compliance. Assigned as the main contact for mission visa requirements, APEC cards, and other travel documents. Maintain active relationships with embassy officials and arrange courtesy visit; and provide policy guidance and reporting on visa-related matters and be the primary focal for Visa Service Providers Administer ADB's corporate credit card program (applications, card issuance/cancellation, dispute resolution). Manage Virtual Credit Cards (VCCs) for mission travel, including issuance and deactivation. Coordinate with banking partners to monitor usage and improve program effectiveness. Monitor service performance of the in-house travel agency, especially in visa/ documentation handling. Help with onboarding of new staff and agency personnel on ADB travel policies. Support budget tracking and invoice verification related to travel services. Identify and resolve travel-related issues. Perform other duties as assigned and reflected in your work plan.

Qualifications

You will need:

Bachelor degree in accounting, business administration, management, tourism, or related academic disciplines. At least 5 years' work experience in the travel industry (airline, credit cards, hotel, TMC) Knowledge of established policies, procedures and guidelines regarding Business/Mission and Bank (Internal) and the requirements in the administration of ADB mission travel, from the perspective of both our travelers and ADB. Knowledge of the business practices of travel industry (airlines, travel agencies and hotels), visa requirements for all ADB staff nationalities, and diplomatic protocol with embassies. Experience in Travel Management Company operations, airfare tariff calculation, Global Distribution System software and an understanding of airline and hotel pricing practices. Ability to liaise and work with staff within own work location and throughout ADB and able to work with teams as a constructive team member. Demonstrate ability to work with individuals from different cultural/national backgrounds Exhibit coordination skills and collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external clients Proficiency in the use of relevant computer-based programs and applications including databases such as Oracle, Outlook, SharePoint, and Concur. Additional Information

This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff’s particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff’s performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
