FAO works together with government counterparts, key strategic partners, civil society and international cooperation agencies, through the implementation of programs and projects that ensure food security and sovereignty for the country's citizens.
ContextThe project โEstablishing LDN Targets and Restoring Degraded Landscapes in the Western Andes and Coastal Zonesโ complements national efforts to drive transformational change towards Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN). It is implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and executed using the Operational Partners Implementation Modality (OPIM) by the Consortium for the Sustainable Development of the Andean Ecoregion (CONDESAN). The mid-term review of the project aims to analyze the results achieved against the planned objectives and to identify potential recommendations and adjustments to strengthen the ongoing intervention and guide the implementation until the end of the project. This document will be submitted to the donor to report on the technical progress of the project.
Task DescriptionWe are seeking one Online volunteer to support us by translating a report analyzing the results achieved at the mid-term of the Project's execution on land degradation from Spanish to English. To this end, the Online Volunteers are asked: - To translate the document, which is 65 pages long into English - Ensure the translation is concise, in line with our communications guidelines, and fits the audience The selected Online Volunteers will be provided with the document in its original language and will receive guidance on the target audience, our communications guidelines, and other necessary information as needed. The Online Volunteers will have the opportunity to build connections with the GEF Project Temas at FAO and learn about how the translated product contributes to reporting to the donor for transparency of actions and resources.
