The Position:

The Reproductive Health Supply and Last-Mile Logistics Specialist leads UNFPA Togo's efforts to strengthen the availability and accessibility of reproductive health services, with a specific focus on family planning. This crucial role will oversee program management, logistics coordination, and partnerships to ensure essential supplies reach those most in need, even in remote and underserved communities. The specialist will work under the
overall supervision of the Country Representative, working closely with the Assistant Representative, and is a team member of the Reproductive Health cluster Programme.

Job Purpose:

This position is central to UNFPA Togo's efforts to strengthen the availability and accessibility of reproductive health services. Working closely with the Ministry of Health, government partners, and non-governmental actors, the Reproductive Health Supply and Last-Mile Logistics Specialist will play a key leadership role in:

Programme Management: Leading the coordination of the Reproductive Health Supplies partnerships and related programme management tasks. This includes planning, coordinating implementation, monitoring progress, and ensuring efficient resource utilization. Logistics Coordination: Developing and implementing strategies to address supply chain challenges and ensure \"last mile\" delivery of family planning services and reproductive health commodities, with a focus on remote and underserved communities, including in crisis-prone areas. This includes exploring agile and efficient solutions, leveraging technology, innovation, and potentially empowering communities, youth and women to play a leading role in supply chain management within their areas. Policy Dialogue and Resource Mobilization: Leading the policy dialogue for the UNFPA supplies partnership program, advocating with government to increase domestic financing contributions for reproductive health commodities. Also, exploring resource partnerships opportunities for an enhanced coordination of stakeholders such as USAID and GIZ. Coordination and Collaboration: Coordinating programme and logistics activities with UNFPA's broader nexus programmes to ensure a collaborative and efficient approach. This ensures supplies reach everyone, up to the last mile, even in hard-to-reach areas.

Education:

Master's degree in public health, supply chain management, pharmacy, social
sciences, business, or a related field.

Knowledge and Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing health programmes, with a focus on family planning, reproductive health, and essential supply chain management. At least 3 years of experience in national and/or international settings advising on reproductive health commodities, health systems strengthening, and/or supply management. Experience in programme management, including planning, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation, is preferred. Experience in humanitarian settings and developing strategies for displaced or crisis-affected populations is highly advantageous. Experience in resource mobilization and partnership coordination is a strong asset. Fluency in French; good knowledge of English.

Languages:

Fluency in French; knowledge of other official UN languages, preferably English and/or
Spanish, is desirable.
