Thereโ€™s something special about spending your days alongside like-minded people, just as committed to purposeful work as you. At Save the Children Australia, we attract bright and big-hearted people who are inspired to make a difference. Together, we are fearless in our pursuit of making lasting change for the children and communities who need it most.

Weโ€™re affecting real climate-change impact for children in Tonga

The Building the Climate Resilience of Children and Communities through the Education Sector (BRACE) initiative is a multi-country climate adaptation project implemented in Tonga, South Sudan, and Cambodia, with primary funding from the Green Climate Fund (GCF). In Tonga, BRACE is delivered through a partnership between the Executing Entity (EE), the Government of Tonga via the Ministry of Education and Training (MET), and the Accredited Entity (AE), Save the Children Australia.

The initiative aims to strengthen the resilience of children and communities by embedding climate adaptation into education systems and practices. A Project Management Unit (PMU) will be established within MET to support project implementation, including planning, coordination, financial and contract management, environmental and social safeguards, and monitoring and reporting. The PMU, led by a Team Leader, will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery and alignment with national priorities.
