Mission and objectivesThe United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism.
ContextAs part of the 16 Days of Activism Campaign against Gender-Based Violence, the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is mobilizing 22 short-term (1-month), part-time volunteer assignments across Moldova — including in Chisinau, Hincesti, Balti, Cahul, Ungheni, Telenesti, Nisporeni, Soroca, Comrat, Calarasi, Singerei, and Stefan Voda. These assignments aim to support UN agencies and programmes in implementing awareness and advocacy activities during the campaign period. Online Volunteer will contribute to talent outreach activities for the subject assignments.
Task DescriptionOnline Volunteer will support the talent outreach activities for the assignments under the 16 Days of Activism campaign, in Moldova. More specifically, the task includes: - Identifying relevant and effective talent outreach channels and contacts to target candidates in Chisinau, Hincesti, Balti, Cahul, Ungheni, Telenesti, Nisporeni, Soroca, Comrat, Calarasi, Singerei, Stefan Voda - Contacting universities and youth institutions in the mentioned regions to help disseminate the information and encourage local participation. - Supporting translation of content and materials to Romanian, as needed.
