Organizational Setting

The project objective is to contribute to the national processes of strengthening family farmers in Brazil for poverty reduction and rural revitalization. The outcome is to implement differentiated policies and programs that improve the capacities of the national government, local and family farmers in areas such as ATER (rural extension and technical advisory services), Credit Programs, land access and governance, access to markets and the strengthening of cooperativism.
Reporting Lines
The incumbent reports to the Assistant Representative in FAO Brazil โ Programme.
Technical Focus
To contribute to the qualification and improvement of the propositions of the National Council for Sustainable Rural Development โ CONDRAF, through a proposal for tactical-operational planning, which subsidizes the Council's performance in its objective of inspecting, monitoring and proposing guidelines for the formulation and implementation of public policies for the Brazilian rural, in line with the themes that guide the lines of action of the MDA (family farming, ย traditional peoples and communities, youth and rural women, supply, productive organization, agroecology, cooperativism, among others).
Tasks and Responsibilities
โข ย ย Support ย the team of the Executive Secretariat of Condraf to present, in advance, the methodologies of the events to be held;
โข ย ย Provide technical support to present and discuss the consultancy's products;
โข ย ย Provide technical support with strategic actors to gather information and present partial results;
โข ย ย Prepare and deliver the products provided for in thiscall for expression of interest;
โข ย ย Prepare reports of face-to-face and virtual events with the participation of Condraf members and Permanent Committees;
โข ย ย To subsidize the Executive Secretariat of Condraf with information in the process of preparing the proposal for the Council's tactical and operational plan;
โข ย ย Provide technical support with the MDA superintendencies in the states as established in this call of expressions of interest.
CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING:ย
Minimum Requirements ย
โข ย ย University degree in Agricultural Sciences or Human Sciences, according to the CAPES/CNPq table of areas of knowledge.
โข ย ย Minimum professional experience of 08 (eight) years with sustainable rural development or territorial development and governance projects; management and institutional planning of government agencies and moderation and reporting of face-to-face and virtual events.
โข ย ย Working knowledge of English and Portuguese;
โข ย ย National of Brazil or resident of the country with valid work permit
