Your team
Within the Directorate Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre, the \"Technical Systems\" service is responsible for the maintenance, development and improvement of software products which support MUAC in achieving its safety and capacity targets and sustain the growing air traffic demand. It provides also resources to various projects in its area of expertise and maintains technical hardware.
Your role
Your role will be to :
- Monitor and operate autonomously the MUACโs Air Traffic Management / Communication, Navigation & Surveillance (ATM/CNS) systems in accordance with system control procedures and working instructions.
Required qualifications, experience & competencies
Post-secondary education attested by a diploma, preferably in IT. This job is subject to the following internal certificates: Certificate of Competence.During the training period to obtain the certificate of competence, system controllers are entitled to 75% of the basic salary corresponding to grade O1, step 1. Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) Competence Primary Intervention Certificate Internal candidates can check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate. Minimum of 3 yearsโ relevant professional experience. Experience in incident management (e.g. identification, analysis, correction). Understanding of the ATC infrastructure and ATM system architecture. The following would constitute an advantage: Experience in ATC infrastructure and ATM system architecture. Understanding of the Maastricht Data Processing and Display System (MADAP).\\ Ability to work with well-defined processes and procedures. Ability to work in a changing technical environment. Drafting skills in English to draft technical reports. Physical aptitude to work in shift. Commitment to undertake 24/7 shift work. Awareness of social impact of shift work and adaptability to shift work. Stress resistance. Team work: You display a collaborative approach.
