ContextThe objective of this assignment is to support the Zero Waste in the Caribbean Project initiative by organizing, categorizing, and managing knowledge resources to ensure easy access, retrieval, and utilization of information. This facilitates efficient decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and project implementation.
Task DescriptionWithin the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Regional Project Coordinator within the Project Coordination Unit (PCU), with the overall guidance of the Head, Caribbean Sub-Regional Office (CSRO), the UNEP Regional Coordinator on Chemicals and Pollution, or his/her designated mandated representative(s), and the Regional Project Coordinator, and under the supervision of the Project Assistant, the two Online Volunteers will perform one of the following specific tasks: 1 OV. Organize and label all Zero Waste in the Caribbean Communication and Knowledge Management Products More specifically, he/she will: • Categorize and systematically label all Zero Waste in the Caribbean communication and knowledge management materials. • Ensure easy access to information by structuring resources for efficient retrieval and reference. • Assist with maintaining an organized repository of documents, media files, and other knowledge products. 1 OV. Compile and collate publications, articles, acts, and other materials related to solid waste management and Circular Economy More specifically, he/she will: • Collect and organize relevant legal frameworks, policies, and best practices in solid waste management and circular economy. • Incorporate documents and resources used by UNEP Zero Waste Project Consultants into a structured knowledge database. • Regularly update the compilation with new and emerging publications in the field.
