DRF operates schools, healthcare facilities, food-distribution programs, and social-development initiatives, with a strong emphasis on transparency, accountability, and long-term impact. As demand for services continues to grow, securing diversified grant funding is essential to sustaining and scaling DRFโ€™s programs. The volunteers will contribute toward strengthen DRFโ€™s institutional capacity by helping identify new funding opportunities and improving the quality and competitiveness of grant submissions. Background information about DRFโ€™s mission, programs, impact, and governance structure will be provided at the start of the assignment to support the volunteerโ€™s work.

Task DescriptionThe online volunteers will support the Development and Relief Foundation (DRF) in drafting its grant-writing initiative and expanding its funding pipeline. Under the guidance of DRF leadership, the volunteers will assist with researching, identifying, and documenting grant opportunities that align with DRFโ€™s mission and programs. Specific tasks include: A: 1. Researching grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, government agencies, multilateral institutions, and other funding entities relevant to humanitarian, education, health, poverty alleviation, and community-development work. 2. Compiling a structured database or spreadsheet of potential donors, including eligibility criteria, deadlines, focus areas, and application requirements. B 1. Reviewing donor guidelines and summarizing key compliance requirements for DRF. 2. Assisting in drafting, editing, or refining grant concept notes, letters of inquiry (LOIs), and sections of grant proposals. Deliverables: โ€ข One consolidated spreadsheet may contain 25โ€“30 potential grant opportunities. โ€ข Written summaries of donor guidelines and requirements for each identified opportunity. โ€ข Participating in periodic virtual check-ins (email or video calls) with DRF team. โ€ข Coordinating virtually with DRFโ€™s team. โ€ข All work will be conducted remotely. Communication will primarily take place via email and scheduled virtual meetings.
