Objectives 1. To improve women peace efforts and security in the community for better development and sustainable initiatives in the community. 2. To promote women good governance and advocacy through increasing awareness on the public resources usage of various programmes and projects as well as promotion of community ownership 3. To promote awareness on women saving culture of the available resources management and impact skills to change mind set and adaptation to the skills. 4. To promote quality education, adult literacy programmes and affordable vocational skills to the vulnerable youth and women 5. ContextAll children have the right to lead productive and fulfilling lives. We help make this happen by supporting them with an inclusive, quality education for life in a nurturing and safe learning environment. Empowering children starts with parents and teachersโproviding educational tools and training is the first step to help children become lifelong learners, improve their communities, protect themselves from violence, and live a productive and fulfilling life. To that end, we are looking for Online Volunteers that will support us in sharing innovative fundraising ideas and researching potential donor organizations and funding opportunities to support one of our education programme. The Online Volunteers should focus primarily on the US and Europe(Globe) to research potential donors to fund the Women and Girls Education Scholarship (WAGES) communities in Cheptais Kenya. The project will be primarily addressing school, college and university-going children who need support for school fees and tuition due to their financial backgrounds. Online Volunteers engaged under this assignment will not be requested to make donations in-kind or financial contributions, or to solicit donations from third parties.
Task DescriptionWe are looking for 15 online volunteers to support us with the following tasks: โข 3 volunteers to develop a fundraising strategy, โข 3 volunteers to share innovative fundraising ideas, โข 3 volunteers to research potential donor organizations and funding opportunities โข 3 volunteers to help draft letters and correspondence, โข 3 volunteers to improve our current proposal; and โข advise on how to approach donors. Previous records on doing similar tasks or experience will be considered an added advantage. Online Volunteers engaged under this assignment will not be requested to submit funding themselves nor will submit any funding proposals on our behalf. This assignment will take place for 8 weeks.
