The ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) is seeking a Strategy and Coordination Specialist in the Strategy and Coordination Group (SCG).
SCG plays a critical role in shaping and driving AMRO's strategic direction, ensuring organizational accountability, managing key partnerships, providing secretariat support to the ASEAN+3 Finance Process, and supporting AMRO Senior Management through effective coordination across the organization and with external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be assigned to the SCG and report to the Group and Deputy Group of SCG. S/he will work proactively and innovatively to provide essential support in coordinating organizational matters of strategic importance, such as partnership initiatives, secretariat support for the ASEAN+3 process, and the development of strategies and policies.\n\n
Job Responsibilities:
Cultivate AMRO's relationships with existing and new strategic partners in line with AMRO's Partnership Strategy, which includes initiating and renewing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) on partnership, and managing or facilitating joint initiatives with peer institutions.Proactively communicate and coordinate with key internal and external stakeholders to support AMRO's participation in relevant global and regional forums, thereby amplifying the region's voice as a trusted policy advisor.Contribute to policy preparations for AMRO's outreach events-such as agenda setting and speaker coordination-for key engagements, including the annual flagship forum.Contribute to AMRO's secretariat support for the ASEAN+3 Finance Process and engagement activities with ASEAN+3 stakeholders, especially on exploring and advancing new strategic priorities of the ASEAN+3 Financial Cooperation.Draft policy reports, briefing materials, speeches, and presentations relevant to the ASEAN+3 Finance Process, organizational strategy and planning, performance evaluation, and partnership initiatives.Implement any other tasks as assigned by the Senior Management and direct supervisors.Institutional Responsibilities:
Participate in any institution-wide activities, such as AMRO's internal committees or task forces, as assigned.Facilitate trainings, seminars, and workshops to disseminate knowledge to AMRO staff and external stakeholders.Perform any other duty as may be reasonably required to further AMRO's overall goals.The candidate should possess:
An advanced degree in public or business administration, economics, finance, law, or other relevant social science fields from a reputable university.At least 5-10 years of relevant professional experience. Experience with International Financial Institutions (IFIs) and/or International Organizations (IOs), particularly in partnership and stakeholder management, as well as international event/meeting organization and coordination, would be highly advantageous.Strong knowledge and an in-depth understanding of international and regional financial cooperation, international organizations, and global and regional forums relevant to AMRO's work. Familiarity with the ASEAN and ASEAN+3 cooperation process is preferred.Solid conceptual and analytical skills, with substantial experience in drafting policy papers, reports, speeches, and presentations.Strong coordination and networking skills with international institutions and government authorities, along with excellent teamwork and communication skills to engage effectively with leagues from diverse cultural backgrounds and across variousHigh proficiency in written and spoken English to deal with policy matters and daily communication.
