Project background

The Global Green Growth Institute in collaboration with the Government of Guyana is currently implementing a project designed to support the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) in developing an Integrated Strategy for Drainage and Irrigation (ISDI) for the period 2025-2030, aligning with the Low Carbon Development Strategy 2030 (LCDS 2030) and enabling inter-ministerial collaboration on Drainage and Irrigation (D&I) and flood management efforts.

Objectives of the assignment

The objective of this assignment is to design and produce visually compelling layouts for three case studies, one comprehensive national strategy document, and a strategy summary, ensuring alignment with the project’s branding and communication guidelines.

Scope of Work

Aligns with broader communication, knowledge-sharing, and reporting goals of the Government of Guyana, the GGGI, and the donors. Design and develop infographics (including charts, diagrams, flowcharts, and icons) that transform raw data, statistics, and processes into clear, visually engaging formats. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for:

Designing three (3) technical case studies (approx. 40 -50 pages each) with engaging layouts, infographics, and visuals.

Designing a National Strategy document (approx. 50–60 pages) including cover page, section dividers, graphics, tables, and charts.

Designing a Strategy Summary (approx. 8–10 pages) in a reader-friendly, concise format.

Ensuring designs are consistent with project/organization branding guidelines (logos, fonts, colors, templates, etc.).

Providing final deliverables in both print-ready PDF and editable design files (e.g., Adobe InDesign/Illustrator).

Incorporating up to two rounds of revisions for each product based on feedback from the project team.

Deliverables

This is a deliverable-based consultancy that will deliver the following:

All edited text content will be provided. Each case study will be between 40 and 50 pages in total.

Expertise required

BSc. in Communications, Information Technology, or any relevant field.

At least 2 years of proven experience in graphic design for reports, strategies, case studies, or any relevant materials.

Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent).

Strong skills in layout, typography, infographics, and data visualization.

Experience working with development projects, environmental/climate-related content is an asset.

Ability to deliver high-quality products under tight deadlines.

Reporting and Supervision

The consultant will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and Communications Associate and will liaise closely with the technical team responsible for drafting the National Strategy and Case Studies. Regular check-ins and feedback sessions will be scheduled.
