The internship in the Division of Documents and Publication - Spanish Unit and Terminology and Reference Unit, Santiago, Chile, will last 4 months, depending on the needs of the Office. Candidates may be selected throughout the posting period, on an \"as needed\" basis. Under the supervision or overall guidance of the Chief of Spanish Unit, Mariana Irisarri. The intern takes part in the Spanish Unit daily work, and in the Terminology and Reference Unit work as need be. Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual's background and the internship period. Duties may include: translation, editing and reference work of ECLAC documents. Qualifications/special skills(a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent); or, (b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher). Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required. Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master's or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D Programme.
