About this position

We are looking for a strategic, collaborative, and results-driven consultant. As a Strategic Engagement Support Consultant in the Social Sector Department (SCL), you will support the sectorโ€™s management team in strengthening its contributions across the IDBโ€™s flagship initiatives and global development fora. In doing so, you will help increase the IDBโ€™s regional impact and reinforce the relevance of the social sector.

SCLโ€™s work spans education, health, nutrition and population, migration, social protection and labor markets, as well as gender and diversity. You will be based in the SCL Front Office, supporting the management team with its engagement in global development events, including the G20, the Global Alliance for Hunger & Poverty, COP, and the Heads of MDBs summits. You will also contribute to SCLโ€™s strategic positioning and visibility in core IDB initiatives such as Ready and Resilient, Security Alliance, BID Cuida, Amazonia Forever, Amรฉrica en el Centro, One Caribbean, and related cross-cutting agendas.

The SCL management team is responsible for setting the Departmentโ€™s strategic direction, ensuring visibility and impact in corporate initiatives, building alliances with key global partners, and positioning the Departmentโ€™s contributions in high-level international fora.
