Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Senior Secretariat Specialist is assigned in the Office of the Secretary (SEC). SEC provides strategic and operational support to ADB, the Board of Governors (BOG), and the Board of Directors (BOD). You will be based at our headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
You will report to the Assistant Secretary and will oversee junior team members.
Your Role
As a Senior Secretariat Specialist, you will manage appointments and remuneration reviews for Management and the BOD, facilitate communication between the BOD, Management, and departments on strategic matters, advise on governance matters, and prepare briefing notes and other documents for Management and the BOD
You will:
- Assist the Secretary and Assistant Secretary in providing information to the BOD, working with relevant departments and inter-departmental working groups.
Qualifications
You will need:
Master's degree in economics, business management, communications or related fields. Alternatively, a university degree in related fields combined with additional relevant professional experience can be considered. At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably with experience in corporate governance. International experience working in several countries. Excellent oral and verbal communications skills in English. Demonstrated client orientation; sensitized to working in a diverse and multicultural environment. A high degree of integrity in handling confidential matters. Familiarity with operations, policies, and procedures of multilateral development banks and financial institutions. Experience dealing with senior staff, Management, Board members, and high-level government officials.
