    Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

    The position of Senior Risk Management Officer is assigned to the Risk Policy and Architecture Division (RMPA) within the Office of Risk Management (ORM). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

    You will report to Director, RMPA and/or designated Technical International Staff and will oversee junior team members.

    Your Role

    As a Senior Risk Management Officer, you will provide support for integrating natural system and hazard risks into policies, processes, and tools to evaluate and report impacts on ADB’s financial and operational performance and balance sheet.

    You will:

  • Support integration of natural system and hazard risk analyses into risk management processes and financial risk models, including documentation of protocols and review of and enhancements to methodologies, tools, and processes. Responsible for specified domains.
Help develop and implement stress testing, including for provisioning and capital adequacy. Perform data analytics, as instructed, including economic, financial, and statistical analyses. Undertake responsibility for specified domains as determined. Support the development, enhancement, and validation of models, tools and analytics for evaluation of natural system and hazard risk factors, risk indicators, and risk impacts, including systems implementation, dataset integration, data analysis, statistical analysis. Undertake responsibility for specified domains as determined. Involved in data management, including collection, processing, and review of project and portfolio data as well as, as necessary, validation, verification, and compliance. Involved in systems design and implementation for monitoring and evaluation. Support preparation for internal monitoring and reporting for ORM, Management and the Board. Support preparation for disclosures following guidelines and standards. Support implementation of risk framework and methodologies, including preparation, monitoring, and review of related guidelines, staff instructions, technical instructions, etc. Support preparation and coordination of communications, presentations and training as determined. Provide support to other divisions and units in ORM.

Qualifications

You will need:

Bachelor's degree in finance, data analytics, economics, or related field, preferably with Master's degree or equivalent. At least 8 years of work experience in investment bank, asset management firm, private investment firm, data analytics service provider, or similar financial institutions, including international work experience; and at least 4 years of supervisory experience. Experience with climate-related financial risk, environment, social, and governance (ESG) integration, climate, nature, and sustainability disclosure standards Good understanding and practical experience of quantitative and qualitative methods for economic and financial analyses. Good skills with analytical tools and programming languages (i.e. Python, R, VBA). Good skills with data visualization Project management and execution skills.
