- Assist the Programme Officer and Programme Coordinatorย in coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on community resilience activities to ensure timely delivery in line with the programme workplan.
- Complete administrative and logistical documentation required to facilitate smooth implementation of resilience-building activities, in accordance with IOM procedures and timelines.ย
- Liaise with government counterparts, community leaders, and partner organizations to support the planning and delivery of community-based resilience initiatives.
- Assist in collecting and verifying data, documents, and community inputs for the design and implementation of risk reduction activities, including small-scale mitigation projects and emergency preparedness planning.
- Facilitate community engagement sessions such as workshops, trainings, and focus group discussions to share information on hazards, resilience strategies, and locally appropriate risk mitigation measures
- Contribute to the development of public information materials on emergency preparedness and disaster risk reduction by gathering content, translating materials into Marshallese, and supporting the creation of IEC and social media content.
- Ensure the appropriate branding of key products and events with IOM and donor logos in order to increase awareness of programs implemented by IOM and funded by donor.
- Travel as necessary in order to participate in monitoring visits and for training purposes at the request and approval of the Programme Coordinator and the Chief of Mission.
- Strictly comply to IOMโs policies and procedures including prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse and promotion of a respectful work environment.

- Bachelorโs degree in community development, environmental studies, public health, disaster risk management, public administration or a related field from an accredited academic institution with at least four years of relevant professional experience; or
- High school diploma with at least six years of relevant professional experience. Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- Experience in the field of Community Resilience and Emergency Management.
- Experience in implementing small scale-projects and/or experience in construction-trades.
- Experience leading group and community-level discussions. Skills

- Ability to communicate clearly and in public, as well as strong intrapersonal skills.
- Proficient use of MS Office and/or other office applications.
- Construction-trade skills such as basic carpentry or plumbing are advantageous.
- Ability to effectively facilitate meetings, trainings, and community activities.ย

- For all applicants, fluency in English and Marshallese is required (oral and written).
- Working knowledge of other Micronesian languages is an advantage. IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
