In this part-time (8 day fortnight, days flexible), fixed term contract position through to end of September 2025 (with potential for extension), youโll hold a case load of complex clients experiencing domestic and family violence and provide technical support and coaching to the wider refuge team. Based in Moreton Bay, with travel across our South-East Queensland program locations, youโll be part of the DFV Refuge and Mobile Outreach Program and will report to a Team Leader.
Weโre seeking applicants to commence as soon as possible โ ideally in April 2025.
You will make a difference by:
Providing support to women and children experiencing or at risk of domestic and family violence Conducting risk assessments where domestic and family violence is identified Providing mentoring/coaching assistance to the team as required Developing strong networks and referral pathways to support desired outcomes Collecting and recording information for the purpose of accountability, evaluation and reportingA place to feel valued:
Youโre a passionate and confident leader who motivates and builds the capacity of others, and you have strong knowledge of domestic and family violence and how it affects children, families and communities. Importantly, youโre committed to making a positive change in the community.
This role requires:Experience working with women, children and young people who have experienced domestic and family violence Knowledge of best practice, professional standards, and relevant research in the field of domestic and family violence Experience in coaching, mentoring and the transfer of skills and knowledge to others Demonstrated understanding of the ways in which cultural contexts influence practice approaches Current valid driverโs licence A Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology or relevant Human Service Qualification and/or significant experience working in a similar serviceA place to belong:
