    Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

    The position of Senior Operations Assistant is assigned to the Regional Cooperation and Integration Unit (SARC) within the South Asia Department (SARD). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

    You will report to the designated International Staff and Officer as applicable.

    Your Role

    As a Senior Operations Assistant, you will support the Regional Head, Regional Cooperation and Integration in the processing, administration, and monitoring of projects and technical assistance, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. You will manage project information, maintain databases, assist in project implementation, and provide administrative support to supervisors and the team.

    You will:

  • Under the guidance of the Regional Head, monitor technical assistance (TA) projects under processing, paying particular attention to particularly milestone events and submission of milestone deliverables.
Prepare, review, and finalize correspondence, reports, and other documentation in accordance with ADB standards and templates. Support missions and team events, including coordination of logistics, documentation, and smooth execution. Collect, compile, and analyze data to support reports, presentations, and decision-making. Support knowledge management activities, including maintaining calendars, records, and resources, and provide guidance to junior staff on procedures and document preparation. Manage supervisors' schedules, appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements, ensuring coordination and timely follow-up on deliverables. Coordinate effectively with team members to manage workloads and ensure timely completion of tasks; Relieve other Senior Operations Assistants as directed Perform other duties as may be assigned and reflected in your workplan.

Qualifications

You will need:

Bachelor's degree At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, including experience in operations in multilateral development banks or similar organizations. Experience preparing reports, presentations, or manuals for management or board review. Proficiency in the productivity tools, databases, and other applications commonly used in multilateral organizations. Experience managing multiple tasks, including coordinating schedules, documents, and project deliverables. Experience collaborating with different background and nationality. Additional Information

This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.

This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff's particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff's performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
