The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Group Corporate Services Directorate โ Group Digital Office (GCS-GDO), Platforms & Services Department (P&S), Integration Division (INT) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a (Senior) Integration Solution Architect*.
This is a full-time position at grade 5/6 for which the EIB offers a permanent contract.

Operating Network
The primary role of the Integration Division is to provide well-designed and well-run integration platforms, working as a force multiplier for application teams and citizen developers, delivering standards, well-proven practices, services and solutions, enabling application teams and citizen developers to do the right things in the right way with substantial autonomy.
As an Integration Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing integration solutions that connect disparate systems, applications, and data sources. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, assess existing architectures, and develop comprehensive integration strategies. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.
This is a pivotal role directly reporting to the Head of Division.
You will work in close collaboration with various IT teams and internal stakeholders. You will have privilege connections with the Enterprise Architecture Team.
Accountabilities
Design end-to-end Integration solutions to meet specific user needs and ensure compliance with the Enterprise Architecture Standards, IT Security Policies, and industry best practices.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze integration requirements.Assess existing systems and identify opportunities for integration and improvement.Develop architectural designs, data models, and integration patterns.Define, together with Enterprise Architecture, standards, guidelines and best practices for integration development.Provide guidance and support to application teams throughout the integration lifecycle.Evolve the Integration Platforms in accordance with Enterprise Architecture guidelines and industry standards to ensure its long-term cost-effectiveness, Business value, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and scalability.Communicate the solution architecture vision to the team and provide supervision and guidance throughout the development process to ensure high-quality solutions.Conduct presentations and coaching for other IT Teams to facilitate adoption and efficient use of new Integration standards and technologies.Follow new market trends and propose innovative approaches to maximise ITโs contribution to the Business, initiating and contributing to IT-wide initiatives in the field of Integration.Manage projects to ensure solution delivery within the set schedule, budget and quality objectives, as also keep the stakeholders informed on the progress, timing and budget of the projects. Coordinate with other IT teams in the context of their IT projects, provide effort and cost estimates for IT Integration contribution to the projects and supervise the execution of tasks assigned to IT Integration.Qualifications
University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in Engineering, Information Technology, Information Management or related field. Proven experience as an Integration Solution Architect or similar role.At least 5 yearsโ relevant professional experience of design and implementation of software Solutions.Proven experience and excellent technical knowledge of the tools and architecture of the Integration stack, including API Management, Event Streaming, Enterprise Service Bus. Data Virtualization, message-oriented middleware, SOA and microservice enabling technologies would be an asset.Broad and deep experience working in varied software development platforms and environments such as Java, Python, JavaScript, vendor packages, and Tomcat/JBoss.Hands-on experience with web services, RESTful APIs, XML, JSON, and other integration protocolsFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Knowledge of security aspects of integrated system design and associated protocols, including token-based authorization and encryption.Excellent knowledge of English and/or French (**), with a good command of the other. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.Competencies

Proficiency is understood to mean the attainment of level 5 of the Inter Institutional language courses, corresponding to B1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).
