ย  Context

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the AVRR Officer; and, in collaboration with relevant units at IOM Algeria, the incumbent will be responsible and accountable for supporting the implementation of IOM Algeriaโ€™s outreach activities.ย 
As IOM Algeria seeks to expand its presence across the country in response to increasing migratory and humanitarian needs, this position will ensure that outreach efforts are responsive, well-coordinated, and impactful.ย 
ย 

1.ย ย ย ย Assist in the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of outreach programs, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.ย 
2.ย ย ย ย Support the development of IOM Algeriaโ€™s outreach programme, in line with IOM guidelines.
3.ย ย ย ย Assist in the implementation of outreach activities with the migrant populations by helping identify their needs and supporting targeted intervention strategies, including awareness campaigns, information-sharing, and protection services, under the guidance of the AVRR and PxD unit.
4.ย ย ย ย In coordination with relevant units, support efforts to maintain relationships with local authorities, community leaders, partner organizations, and other stakeholders.
5.ย ย ย ย Assist in identifying new service providers, NGOs, and CSOs to support outreach initiatives, in coordination with the Programme Unit.
6.ย ย ย ย Maintain accurate records of beneficiary interactions, program interventions, and service delivery within established monitoring frameworks, and assist in evaluating the impact of outreach activities.ย 
7.ย ย ย ย Collect quantitative and qualitative data, in coordination with the Information Management and M&E Units, to support monitoring activities and contribute to programme improvements and informed decision-making.ย 
8.ย ย ย ย Serve as a liaison between IOM Algeria and local authorities in the different wilayas by facilitating communication and collaboration, and assist during meetings, conferences, and coordination platforms related to field outreach. ย 
9.ย ย ย ย Organize meetings, workshops and training sessions; prepare training materials and participate in the delivering of capacity building workshops for IOM staff, partners, local authorities, and others to support field operations. ย 
10.ย ย ย ย Provide logistical support for field travel, transport, accommodation, and resource allocation.ย 
11.ย ย ย ย Collaborate closely with the Field Security Associate to follow security guidelines as per UNDSS standards, and support responses to emergency situations, as per operational arrangements.
12.ย ย ย ย Draft status reports highlighting shortfalls in delivery, bring them to the attention of the supervisor, and suggest corrective measures.
13.ย ย ย ย Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education

โ€ข ย ย ย ย School diploma with six years of relevant experience; or,
โ€ข ย ย ย ย Bachelorโ€™s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience.

โ€ข ย ย ย ย Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
โ€ข ย ย ย ย Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,ยทย 
โ€ข ย ย ย ย Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
