GGGI has a unique in-country presence and prominent role as a neutral, trusted advisor and strategic development partner embedded in Member and partner governments. These advisors are directly engaged with national governments in setting the strategic direction for national program development guided by a Country Planning Framework with the Government. The operating model maximizes the potential to translate green growth strategies and policies (especially economic policies) into green investment plans, mobilizing green finance commitments needed to bolster support for low-carbon and climate-resilient economic development and strong institutional capacity development.
The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region of GGGI operations has a growing and diverse portfolio of programs and projects. These in-country operations, together with global products and services, focus on delivering results through an integrated approach of evidence-based green growth planning and implementation aligned to countriesโ development priorities. The organization also focuses on knowledge development and management activities, which build a strong theoretical and empirical basis for green growth, while providing concrete options and guidance for policymakers, as well as building the conditions for public and private green infrastructure investments.

PURPOSE
The Regional Office (RO) of the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) is seeking a dynamic, team player, and results-oriented Senior Regional Portfolio Associate (Senior RPA) who reports to the Regional Director. The Senior RPA supports the Regional Director/Representative in reviewing needs and priorities and the monitoring and delivery of the MENA regional portfolio, associated processes, and administrative requirements. This Senior RPA ensures process compliance, assists in monitoring the implementation of activities and overall program and portfolio performance, and provide support to regional and country program and project management and operations while maintaining effective program reporting, quality assurance, and communication internally and externally in line with GGGI corporate policies, standards, and protocols. The Senior RPA facilitates and ensures the effective delivery of operational functions, processes, and services in relation to the MENA regional portfolio. This includes support required inputs for external engagement including stakeholder consultations and donor reporting, communicate changes to relevant internal stakeholders, and provide training where required. support MENA Regional strategy review and its implementation, and contribute to program and project development.
ENGAGEMENT
Works closely with the Regional Director, Country Representative, and Deputy Country Representative to ensure effective program delivery Collaborates with other units and divisions of GGGI to ensure integrated delivery as OneGGGI Liaises with country teams and project managers to ensure compliance with GGGI processes and monitor project/program delivery progress and implementation of risk mitigation measures. Supports engagement with stakeholders including government counterparts, embassies, donors and for corporate and international gatherings and events
DELIVERY
Support the development of synthesized regional and country program data/documents for internal units for project/proposal development or external communications Support the Regional Director/Country Representative to evaluate program implementation and performance and regular results reporting of portfolio programs. Facilitate internal and external communications on program delivery, including activity implementation and results reporting. Manage MENA program communications through social media and other means Provide rapid day-to-day operational consultation/support for any issues (project changes, approval process, budget management, etc.) arising from the Regional Office team and Country Office operations by maintaining close communications with relevant teams Provide administrative & operational support to the Regional Director, Deputy Directors, and to Countries as necessary Deliver training for country staff on GGGI systems and processes (budgeting, logframes, project changes, HR, etc.) to build the capacity of country offices Contribute to MENA strategy review, further strategy development Provide inputs to multi-country and regional programs
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as international development, international relations, environmental policy, natural resources management, economics, engineering, climate change, sustainable development or related field Professional training in administrative and/or operational services is an asset. Preferred at least 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar function preferable Experience providing administrative support with an understanding of the structure and functioning of an international organization Experience with gathering data and compiling reports Strong competence in the use of standard software programs: Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook Experience in an international setting is an asset Ability to work independently and taking initiatives in response to the organization and team's demand Excellent command of written and spoken English is required Excellent command of written and spoken French, Spanish or Korean is an assetFUNCTIONAL
Demonstrated experience in project and program monitoring, budgeting and delivery. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to maintain composure under pressure and to establish and maintain effective work relationships with people of different backgrounds. Demonstrates flexibility towards job requirements, and a willingness to do a variety of tasks as required Experience in supporting country offices in program development and implementation.
