POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Associate: GGI Portfolio Management supports the Deputy Director-General (DDG) in ensuring the effective delivery, monitoring, and compliance of the GGI portfolio. The role focuses on enforcing process adherence, monitoring program and project performance, and providing operational support across regional and country-level activities in line with GGGI’s corporate policies and standards. Key responsibilities include facilitating administrative processes, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements, consolidating and tracking program data, and supporting quality assurance and timely reporting. The role also plays a key part in enabling smooth coordination across the region and maintaining clear communication with both internal teams and external partners to support the successful implementation of GGGI programs.

PURPOSE
Monitor program implementation across regions, ensuring alignment with GGGI’s strategic goals, performance standards, and delivery timelines. Consolidate and analyze program and project data to track progress, measure outcomes, and identify gaps or delays across the global portfolio. Provide regular performance briefs, risk assessments, and strategic updates to senior leadership and internal stakeholders. Communicate policy and process updates to regional and country teams; lead training or onboarding sessions to strengthen compliance and operational capacity. Ensure full adherence to GGGI's internal procedures, safeguards, and donor requirements across all operational and programmatic activities. Support the review, update, and rollout of corporate strategies and frameworks, ensuring portfolio alignment with institutional goals. Identify risks and systemic issues across the portfolio, and work with the DDG and relevant units to develop mitigation plans and solutions. Contribute to the design and development of new programs and country operations, supporting proposal development and strategic alignment. Promote cross-regional learning and collaboration by sharing best practices, tools, and lessons learned across teams. Provide coordination and oversight to regional Portfolio Associates or similar roles, ensuring coherent portfolio management practices across GGGI.

ENGAGEMENT
Works closely with the Regional Director, Deputy Directors, and Country Representative to ensure effective program delivery Collaborates with other units and divisions of GGGI to ensure integrated delivery as OneGGGI Liaises with country teams and project managers to ensure compliance with GGGI processes and monitor project/program delivery progress and implementation of risk mitigation measures. Supports engagement with stakeholders including government counterparts, embassies, donors and for corporate and international gatherings and events Supports internal stakeholders through data consolidation, reporting, and training.

DELIVERY
Support the DDG and Regional Directors in assessing needs, setting priorities, and overseeing the effective delivery of GGGI’s global portfolio of programs and projects. Coordinate inputs for donor reporting, stakeholder engagement, and resource mobilization efforts in collaboration with country teams and the Partnerships and Outreach Division. Facilitate decision-making by preparing high-quality portfolio reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal reviews and donor meetings. Provide rapid day to day operational consultation/support for any issues (project changes, approval process, budget management, etc.) arising from regional office team and country office operations by maintaining close communications with relevant teams Provide administrative & operational support to Regional Director, deputy directors and to countries as necessary Deliver training for country staff on GGGI systems and processes (budgeting, logframes, project changes, HR etc.) to build capacity of country offices Contribute to GGI strategy review, further strategy development Provide inputs to multi-country and regional programs

REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as international development, international relations, environmental policy, natural resources management, economics, engineering, climate change, sustainable development or related field Professional training in administrative and/or operational services is an asset. Preferred 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar function preferable Experience providing administrative support with an understanding of the structure and functioning of an international organization Experience with gathering data and compiling reports Strong competence in the use of standard software programs: Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook Experience in an international setting is an asset Ability to work independently and taking initiatives in response to the organization and team's demand Excellent command of written and spoken English is required Excellent command of written and spoken French, Spanish or Korean is an asset

FUNCTIONAL
Demonstrated experience in project and program monitoring, budgeting and delivery. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to maintain composure under pressure and to establish and maintain effective work relationships with people of different backgrounds. Demonstrates flexibility towards job requirements, and a willingness to do a variety of tasks as required Experience in supporting country offices in program development and implementation. Experience in event organization, outreach and communication.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The Senior Associate: GGI Portfolio Management is an X7 grade level in GGGI’s national salary scale. Determination of base salary is subject to candidate's experience, academic background and internal equity. GGGI provides 15% of base salary towards retirement plan/long-term savings, 27 days of annual leave, and private health insurance that covers dental and vision. This is a national position and does not include relocation benefits.
