About this position
The Secretariatโs main function is to provide services for the IDB and IIC Boards of Governors and Boards of Executive Directors (including their internal committees), the MIF Donors Committee, and senior management. For meetingsโand especially seminarsโorganized by one of the Bankโs departments, all meeting-related services are the responsibility of the department in question, with the Secretariat lending advisory assistance and logistical support as needed.
We are looking for a meticulous, proactive, and innovative Functional Analyst. As a Functional Analyst, you will play a critical role in our team by conducting in-depth analysis of SEC operations to gain a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes and translate them into system requirements. Your main responsibilities will include recommending changes for process improvement and efficiency, facilitating the collection, analysis, and documentation of user requirements in alignment with established project standards, and preparing functional and system specification documents based on these user requirements.
You will work in the Information Systems & Digital Innovation Section (SEC/ISD) part of the Office of the Secretary (SEC). This team is responsible for developing and maintaining the systems used by SEC and its main clients.
What youโll do

ยท Perform analysis of SEC business to understand end-to-end processes and recommend changes for improvement and efficiency.
ยท Facilitate the process of gathering, analyzing and documenting user requirements in accordance with defined project standards.
ยท Prepare functional and system specification documentation based on the user requirements.
ยท Act as liaison between SEC/ISD and other SEC members to document and translate business.
ยท Coordinate, and manage the various phases of identification of a solution by working with vendors in demos, drill-down sessions, and with the build-out of an RFP process to identify the various functional requirements.
ยท Create flow diagrams, structure charts, and other types of system or process representations.
ยท Lead peer reviews and inspections of requirement documents.
ยท Develop and execute User Acceptance Test (UAT) plans that will ensure business requirements have been met.
ยท Support the preparation of training materials and updates to procedures;
ยท Provide support to the project implementation and roll out;
ยท Oversee the launch of solutions and help to maximize the positive impact on the organization.
ยท Perform other related duties as required.
What you'll need
ยท Education: Bachelorโs degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Information Systems or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
ยท Experience: At least 4 years of progressive experience in related tasks
ยท Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

ยท Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
ยท Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
