What You'll DoProject Summary The anticipated five-year, $23 million Millennium Challenge Account (MCA)-Belize-funded project, Equipping Secondary Educators Program Partnership, aims to improve the quality of secondary school educational leadership and teaching in Belize through capacity building and providing teaching and learning resources. Position Summary RTI is seeking a School Administration Expert who will provide technical leadership and support to enhance school management and administration within the Equipping Secondary Educators Program Partnership. This role will focus on improving the effectiveness of school leaders and administrators in secondary schools, strengthening school governance, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. This position will be based in Belize City, Belize and is contingent upon award. Your primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Develop and implement professional development programs for school leaders to improve governance, management, and leadership skills, with a focus on inclusive practices. Create training materials and lead workshops for school administrators on leadership, strategic planning, financial management, and stakeholder engagement. Support the creation of inclusive school environments that cater to the needs of all students, especially those with special education needs and from marginalized groups. Strengthen school governance by engaging with school boards and promoting active involvement of parents and communities. Monitor and evaluate leadership and management programs to assess their effectiveness and provide feedback for improvement. Collaborate with stakeholders such as the Ministry of Education and development partners to ensure alignment with national policies and educational reforms. Provide regular progress reports on leadership development activities, including successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement. What You'll Need Qualifications: Bachelorโs degree in education administration, educational leadership, or related field with a minimum of 12 years of experience or a related field or Masterโs degree and 10 years of relevant experience. Proven experience in school leadership and administration, with a focus on secondary education preferred. Strong understanding of school governance, financial management, and strategic planning in an educational context. Experience working on capacity-building programs for school leaders and administrators. Familiarity with inclusive education practices and the needs of students with special education needs. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Experience working with government agencies, educational institutions, and development partners is highly desirable. Prior experience working in Belize or in similar contexts is preferred. Fluency in in English and Proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken)
