Mission and objectivesYouth Co:Lab positions young people front and center in order to solve the regionโs most pressing challenges. Co-created in 2017 by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Citi Foundation, Youth Co:Lab aims to establish a common agenda for countries in the Asia-Pacific region to empower and invest in youth so that they can accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through leadership, social innovation and entrepreneurship.
ContextThe Movers Programme is a regional movement of volunteers, applying the training-of-trainer approach and working with community partners to target harder-to-reach groups. The movement supports the objective of the Youth Empowerment Portfolio in Asia and the Pacific to Leave No Youth Behind. The programme aims to raise awareness on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), build entrepreneurial mindsets, and develop 21st century skills by organising and facilitating Movers Workshops in their community. Besides the SDGs, the programme also focuses on personal development such as storytelling, leadership, building a LinkedIn profile, the skills to find your dream job, etc.
