    Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
    The position of Retirement Benefits Analyst is assigned to the Office of the Director General, Retirement Benefits and Investment Unit (BPOD-RIU) within the Budget, People, and Management Systems Department (BPMSD). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

    You will report to the Designated Technical International Staff and Officer.

    Your Role
    As a Retirement Benefits Analyst, you will provide technical and analytical support in the Unit, with focus on the pension areas including administration of the Staff Retirement Plan (SRP) including the Discretionary Benefits Scheme, and the Defined Contribution Plan.

    You will:

  • Provide administrative support in managing pension and other benefit areas handled by BPOD-RIU, including determining entitlements and processing claims in conformity with ADB procedures.
Coordinate with internal and external parties for reconciliation and settlement of outstanding accounts and implementation of agreements/arrangements. Ensure that records are updated and filing systems are maintained following prescribed systems and established guidelines. Support business process improvement, policy development of systems and tools to improve service delivery. Support the design and delivery of knowledge tools and articles, including preparing presentation materials and drafting standard and non-standard correspondence and reports. Collect and analyze diverse data to produce required statistics/reports, as instructed. Facilitate efficient data management of files and databases. Support/liaise on enhancing SRP's intranet presence. Be the focal point within the Unit and BPMSD, and with other Departments. Perform other duties as may be assigned and reflected in the incumbent's workplan.

Qualifications

You will need:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related fields. An advantage would be additional training in data visualization, HR analytics, and familiarity with broad pension and investment concepts and seminars. At least 5 years of relevant professional experience. Experience in administration of pension plans and committee secretariat will be an advantage. Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all types of internal and external clients. Proven ability to work independently on assigned transactions, areas of analysis and research, which have well-defined scope and steps. Familiarity with existing database management systems and data analysis tools such as Oracle ERP and other related database will be an advantage. Effective report writing and communication skills in English is required. Ability to exercise judgment on matters of confidentiality. Excellent organization, coordination and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within the team and build effective working relationships with colleagues in other divisions and departments. Additional Information


This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.

This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff’s particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff’s performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
