5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

Project context

The Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, with its partners is actively involved in implementing the CGIAR Initiative on Climate Resilience (ClimBeR).[1] It is well known that climatic extremes and variability have negative effects in the Global South. The partner nations of this Initiative are particularly vulnerable to climate change, with Kenya, Senegal, and Zambia experiencing droughts, floods, and high temperatures; Morocco and Guatemala experiencing droughts and high temperatures; and the Philippines experiencing floods and rising temperatures. Therefore, ClimBeR aims at improving the ability of six low- and middle-income countries' food, land, and water systems to adapt to climate change, ultimately boosting the resilience of smallholder production systems to withstand severe climate change effects.
