About this position
We are looking for a motivated, skilled, and independent research consultant. As research consultant, you will contribute to an academic paper studying the workplace attitudes towards the LGBTQ+ population in Latin America.
You will work in the Gender and Diversity Division (GDI) part of the Social Sector (SCL). The team mission is to promote: (a) gender equality and empowerment, (b) development with identity of indigenous peoples, and (c) the inclusion of African descendants, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ individuals. It supports Bank operations, provides policy and strategic guidance, and carries out technical assistance and training.
What youโll do
The main tasks are:
ยท Contributing to the design of the survey.
ยท Contributing to the coding of the survey.
ยท Helping with the supervision of the firm implementing the survey for the project.
ยท Helping to analyze the data collected through the survey.
ยท Contributing to drafting the research paper analyzing the results of the survey.
ยท Helping with the dissemination of the main findings.

What you'll need
ยท Education: Bachelorโs in economics, political science, sociology or other fields relevant to the role's responsibilities.
ยท Experience: 2 years of progressive experience in research projects and higher education, ideally with experience in survey design and implementation. Knowledge of gender and diversity issues, related to LGBTQ+ people would be preferred. Knowledge of coding in Stata is required.
ยท Languages: Proficiency in English. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

ยท Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
