ย Context ย
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Brazil is implementing various projects addressing the protection, assistance, and integration needs of migrants, refugees and other vulnerable populations in Brazil. IOM recognizes the importance of accurate and timely information to foster adequate programming and ensure accountability to affected population, donors and governments. Under the direct supervision of the Relocation Coordinator and Logistics Team Leader the approved candidate will contribute to IOM operations in the northern region, directly monitoring the activities of the Logistics Team, performing activities related to project development, assistance, monitoring, reporting and guidance to migrants.
- Support the Logistic Team Leader on monitoring and guiding the Logistic team in delivering its demands.
- Work together with the Logistics Team from the Relocation Coordination Center (Centro de Coordenaรงรฃo de Interiorizaรงรฃo - CCI).
- Prepare the monthly travel planning for Operation Welcome (Operaรงรฃo Acolhida).
- Monitor and guide logistical activities carried out by Operation Welcome (Operaรงรฃo Acolhida).
- Support the partners of Operaรงรฃo Acolhida, working at the CCI, in providing assistance and guidance to the migrant population and access to public services, as well as providing direct assistance when necessary.
- Develop procedures for Escort activities during Operation Welcome (Operaรงรฃo Acolhida) travels.
- Develop the schedule and activities of IOM Escorts.
- Disseminate information on work plans, activities table and changes to travels of Operation Welcome (Operaรงรฃo Acolhida).
- Prepare monthly performance reports and support the Logistics Team Leader on presenting them to the Relocation Coordinator.
- Complete on a weekly basis the activities report of Logisitic Teams at the covered areas.

- High School diploma with 03 years of relevant professional experience, or
- Bachelorโs degree inย administration, Logistic, Managementย orย relatedย fieldsย fromย anย accreditedย academicย institutionย with 02 year of relevant professional experience Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- Experience in liaising with Brazilian Government agencies, national/international institutions,
- United Nations Agencies and nonโgovernmental organizations.
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, and other vulnerable groups; and,
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, nonโgovernment or government institutions/organization in a multiโcultural setting is an advantage.
