ย ContextUnder the direct supervision of the National Project Officer, in Boa Vista, and in close coordination with the Information Management Unit and the Programme Support Unit in IOM Brazilโ€™s head office; the successful candidate will provide general support to colleagues in the areas of projectย 

1.ย ย ย ย Support the Information Management (IM) team in the supervision of the data collection processes and the overall data management activities including entry, encoding, and storing.
2.ย ย ย ย Support the development of methodologies and tools for data collection and analysis that contribute to the program's information managementย 
3.ย ย ย ย Assist in the implementation of integrated mechanisms for data gathering and information management across all activities related to the emergency response; as well as other projects implemented in the Northern region, ensuring that accurate and reliable data is collected, stored, and submitted in a timely manner to be further processed in Brasรญlia.
4.ย ย ย ย Identify gaps on data and information relevant to the emergency response operation and contribute to the preparation of project proposals aiming to address such needs.
5.ย ย ย ย Assist the IM team in collecting, managing and reviewing relevant data, ensuring it is collected in an accurate and timely manner, in line with IOMโ€™s policies and standards.
6.ย ย ย ย Support the development of methodologies and tools for data collection and analysis that contribute to the program's information management.
7.ย ย ย ย Provide user support on information management tools, templates and SOPs to improve local data collection, monitoring and reporting capacities, including post-distribution and satisfaction surveys.ย 
8.ย ย ย ย Support the implementation of other IM activities as needed, including the preparation of IOM Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) reports and site profiles, in coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
9.ย ย ย ย Support the officeโ€™s periodic reporting processes, including the preparation of project reports, weekly and monthly SitReps, infosheets, minutes of meetings, among other.
10.ย ย ย ย Regularly liaise with Project Coordinators, internal and external IM/M&E focal points, and other relevant stakeholders to exchange knowledge, provide technical assistance and ensure active collaboration for monitoring and reporting purposes.ย 
11.ย ย ย ย Perform any other duties as may be needed.ย

Education

  • High School diploma with at least four (4) years of relevant work experience; or,
  • University degree in social sciences, business administration, international relations, law, information technology or a related field from an accredited academic institution with at least three (2) years of relevant experience. A Masterโ€™s degree would be an advantage.Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.ย Experience

    โ€ข ย ย ย ย Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
    โ€ข ย ย ย ย Fluency in English and Portuguese, with excellent drafting skills in both languages.
    โ€ข ย ย ย ย Previous experience with research, monitoring, data collection, and reporting activities is required. Other relevant experience in information management, monitoring and evaluation, and project management would be an advantage.
    โ€ข ย ย ย ย Previous working experience in an international or national development or humanitarian organization or a non-governmental organization would be an advantage.ย 
    โ€ข ย ย ย ย Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive attitude.ย 
    โ€ข ย ย ย ย Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
