The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Brazil has been implementing a project to support the Brazilian government in ensuring that forcibly returned Brazilian citizens are received with dignity, that their human rights are respected, and that they receive support to overcome vulnerabilities and reintegrate into society. In addition to this initiative, IOM Brazil is also implementing various projects that address the protection, assistance, and integration needs of migrants, refugees, and other vulnerable populations throughout the country. The Counter Trafficking and Border Governance Team is part of the IBG Division of IOM Brazil and is tasked with addressing and combating trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants on a national level.
