It was founded in 1948 with the purpose of contributing to the region's economic and social development. The internship in the Social Development Division of ECLAC will last 2 to 6 (2 min/6 max) months, depending on the needs of the Office. Candidates may be selected throughout the posting period, on an \"as-needed\" basis. The intern will work under the supervision or overall guidance of a Social Affairs Officer. The intern will support the team in the topic of education. Tasks will include: - Research qualitative, quantitative and official data on education. - Process statistical information. - Drafting inputs. - Gather and summarize research information on education and social development. - Contribute and support seminars and expert meetings producing briefs and presentations upon request. - Work collaboratively with other members of the team. Qualifications/special skillsApplicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme. Ideally, candidates should have a background in economics and/or data management. Do you meet any of the above criteria? LanguagesThe United Nations has 6 official languages. For the purposes of this internship, the intern will be required to be fluent in English and Spanish at all levels.
