Job Profile:
The Paralegal assists senior/legal counsels in preparing legal documents or conducting research and benchmarking, preparing legal notes and legal opinions under the supervision of the Director, all in accordance with the Strategic Framework 2030 and future institutional/ strategic frameworks, as well as contributing to solving legal problems and providing technical input into complex matters for the achievement of departmental objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
In coordination with the assigned supervisor:
Legal drafting
Drafting and finalizing legal documentation for private sector operations and trade finance transactions as well as amendments/consents/cancellations and waivers to those agreements;Serving as project assistant for projects in the private sector portfolio during the project implementation phase.Research and analysis
Specific tasks will include:
Stakeholder management and engagement:
Supports the Senior Counsels working with external stakeholders (authorized legal officials of partner countries/institutions) and internal stakeholders (e.g. all OPEC Fund departments/units) on the subject of legal services and advice on an ongoing basis.Carries out other tasks assigned by the respective supervisor that are related to the job functions.Qualifications and Experience:
Masterโs degree in law or a related field or Bachelorโs degree in law or a related field with an additional two years of experience A minimum of two years (with Masterโs) or four years (with Bachelorโs) of relevant experience.A minimum of 1 year experience at an international development finance institution Fluent in English. Good working knowledge of Arabic, French or Spanish is an added advantage.Competencies
