The position of Operations Assistant is assigned to the Pacific Liaison and Coordination Office (PLCO) within the Pacific Department (PARD). PLCO oversees regional technical assistance and operations in Nauru, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu.You will be based at the Pacific Liaison and Coordination Office in Sydney, Australia. You will report to the designated international staff and senior officer.
Your Role
As an Operations Assistant, you will provide administrative support to PLCO activities and assist with project implementation, technical assistance (TA) processing and implementation, database management, and logistics support.
You will: - Manage supervisor(s) calendar in scheduling meetings with partners (internal and external).
Qualifications
You will need:
Bachelor's degree in finance, social sciences, business studies, or other related fields. At least 5 years of relevant professional work experience; Experience in international multilateral and bilateral agencies is desirable. Ability to work proactively on assigned tasks, and areas of analysis and research that have a well-defined scope and steps. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficient in ADB standard software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and information technologies. Ability to work collaboratively with teams and individuals from different cultural and technical backgrounds. Please refer to the link for ADB Competency Framework for TL1.Benefits

This opening is a local staff position with a local compensation package. It is open only to nationals of Australia or permanent residents residing in the duty station, Australia who are nationals of an ADB member country.
This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew, initially for a period of up to 3 years, or up to the Normal Retirement Date (NRD), whichever comes earlier, for the purpose(s) and conditions determined by ADB, in accordance with Administrative Order No. 2.01 (Recruitment and Appointment). After the initial fixed-term period, ADB may choose to renew the appointment for up to an additional 3 years or not renewed. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB, based on factors including but not limited to the requirement of Staff's particular blend of skills and experience for the medium-term work program of the organizational unit, sufficient funding to cover the renewed period, and Staff's performance and suitability for employment. There is no limit to the number of renewals up to NRD. However, this appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment.
