Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position is assigned in the Bangladesh Resident Mission (BRM) of the South Asia Department (SARD). SARD maintains client relations and delivers ADB assistance to countries in the South Asia region. You will be based at our Resident Mission Office in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
You will report to the designated international staff and officer.
Your Role
As an Operations Analyst, you will provide analytical and statistical support to portfolio management and country programming. As part of the BRM operations team, you will help project teams in identifying and addressing challenges that are specific to the country's system and conditions.
You will:
- Compile statistical data and support in data analysis for Country Portfolio Performance, Tripartite Portfolio Review meeting process and planned lending and Technical Assistance (TA) projects/programs , and prepare the annual Bangladesh Portfolio Performance Report, briefing papers, reports, meeting minutes, workshops.
Qualifications
You will need:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, social science, public policy and management or related fields. At least 5 years of relevant work experience; related experience in international agencies similar to ADB is desirable. Demonstrated understanding of international development agencies' operational processes. Demonstrated good analytical thinking with the ability to make casual links to project challenges, and to suggest solutions and appropriate actions. Proficiency in operating Microsoft programs in Excel and its various function keys to managing analytical spreadsheets, graphics, and database applications. Proficiency in the use of IT and AI tools for data management and operation support. Ability to work collaboratively across ADB, engage with external partners, and navigate diverse cultural contexts. This opening is a local staff position. It is open only to nationals and residents of Bangladesh.
This is a fixed term appointment with option to renew for an initial period of 3 years following Section 3.1 (b) of Administrative Order No. 2.01 (\"Recruitment and Appointment'). This appointment is not convertible to a regular appointment. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may be renewed for a period of up to three years, or not renewed. There is no limit on the number of renewals. This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
