Global Knowledge Exchange: Creating a platform for interdisciplinary discussion and research on risk and resilience, fostering global collaboration among industry leaders, academics, policymakers, and practitioners 2. Standardization and Metrology: Developing and promoting standards and measurement practices to enhance the reliability and interoperability of risk management strategies. 3. Systems Innovation: Building tools, capacities and communities for the development and application of risk management technologies, standards, and innovation ecosystems. 4. Scholarly and Industry Publications: Publishing standards, reports, and scholarly articles to contribute to academic and practical discourse in risk management. 5. Liaison with Global Entities: Engaging with civil society and maintaining technical interactions with international entities to promote a unified approach to risk management challenges. 6. Advanced Study: Investigating fundamental and applied domains related to risk management, including natural and human-induced risks, and developing advanced tools for risk intelligence and emergency management

ContextThe Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) is launching a critical initiative to enhance national and regional climate resilience by building a comprehensive database of stakeholders involved in climate change and sustainable development. This initiative aligns with global frameworks such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. The project aims to identify key players across government, academia, civil society, and industry sectors who are instrumental in addressing climate risks, disaster preparedness, and biodiversity protection. This database will serve as a crucial resource for fostering collaboration, strengthening anticipatory action, and supporting data-driven policy-making. It will also help align national efforts with international frameworks, enabling proactive risk management and the advancement of sustainable development goals. Volunteers will play a vital role in ensuring that critical stakeholders are engaged and connected to support the global mission of climate action and risk resilience.

Task DescriptionWe are looking for [30] Online Volunteers to support the identification and categorization of national stakeholders engaged in climate change risk management, sustainable development, and biodiversity conservation. The Online Volunteer/s will be responsible for: Researching and identifying key stakeholders across government, civil society, academia, and industry who contribute to climate change mitigation, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable development. Organizing and entering this information into a centralized database. Assisting in verifying stakeholder engagement with international frameworks such as the SDGs, Sendai Framework, and Kunming-Montreal Framework. Participating in a 3-hour orientation and attending weekly team meetings in EST time zones. Volunteers from following regions are encouraged to apply: Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Switzerland, Germany, United Kingdom, Australia, Türkiye, UAE, India, Singapore, Indonesia, South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria
