Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field ofย migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. Working under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and direct supervision of the Programme Support Unit Coordinator (PSU), the incumbent will support the coordination and implementation of the Missionโs Programme Support processes which will include project development, donor reporting, compliance with IOM rules and regulations and donor requirements, and the preparation of talking points, donor briefings, and presentations for resource mobilization purposes.
The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the work of the Programme Support Unit, under the supervision of the PSU Coordinator, and will:
- Contribute to the overall direction of the Programme Support Unit to identify, assess, and coordinate the design and development of new programme opportunities, projects, or initiatives in coordination with relevant donors, government counterparts, public and private institutions, and UN Agencies.
- Support the development of thematic fundraising strategies by compiling and analyzing information on strategic migration-related initiatives, donor policies and priorities, and identifying new funding opportunities; contribute to the drafting of related strategic documents to inform the COโs fundraising efforts.
- Contribute to the development and submission of new projects that respond to emerging trends and priorities, in close coordination withย relevant Programme Managers, senior management, HQ, Regional Office and external partners, in compliance with donor interests and requirements, and IOM procedures and guidance documents.
- Support donor contract management through coordinating the administrative and budgetary aspects of new and ongoing projects, including assisting with activation, processing, endorsement, record-keeping and submissions in line with specific IOM internal requirements andย procedures
- Consolidate and analyse data on programme implementation and indicators and coordinate with Programme Managers and senior management for the drafting of regular progress reports to be submitted to donors, partners and IOM Regional Office and Headquarters.
- Maintain regular contact with donor relations counterparts, including organising and attending meetings and field site visits, and updating information on donor policies and priorities.
- Contribute to the development and training staff the staff unit along with succession planning where possible.ย
- Coordinate with the M&E team/Officer in supporting the development of key project indicators, in line with the missionโs strategy.
- Contribute to the drafting of talking points and briefing notes for PSU coordinator, senior management and programme teams.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned
Education
- Bachelorโs degree from an accredited academic institution in Social Science/Public Relation/Economics/Development Studies/ International Relations or other relevant disciplines with two years of work experience; or,
- Masterโs degree in above-mentioned fields Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
- Experience in project development and project management, drafting reports and briefing notes, complex project implementation, budget drafting, research, liaison with governments and international agencies.
- Excellent track record in developing European Commission-funded projects at the national level within Poland, including projects funded by European Social Fund (ESF/FERS) or the Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund (AMIF/FAMI).
- Experience with project planning, scheduling and deployment of resources.
- Experience organizing training programs and similar events an advantage.ย
- Experience working for NGOs, Government or International institutions an advantage.
- Familiarity with humanitarian and/or transition assistance programming an advantage.

Languages
Fluency in Polish and English (oral and written) is required.
Any other IOM official language is desirable.
IOMโs official languages are English, French, and Spanish.
