The Consultant will be responsible for activities described below and to assist the Specific Outputs/Tasks include but not limited to: Support in implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting of the Mental Health Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Program in UNRWA schools in Lebanon. Assist in developing and implementing operational plans of the MHPSS programme at UNRWA schools, in collaboration with AEOs (Area Education Officers) and SPs (School Principals) and MHPSS Officer Assess the training needs and build capacity of School Counselors and School Management to perform MHPSS activities and interventions and provide technical support as needed Ensure the implementation of awareness sessions to caregivers, children/youth, and community members within the annual plan of the MHPSS Officer; and develop awareness session materials Support in streamlining MHPSS into recreational and sport activities at UNRWA schools for various age-groups to nurture and foster the well-being of children and adolescents; Coordinate with education and other UNRWA programmes, as well as Psychosocial/ Child Protection actors to implement PSS and CP activities and services for students at UNRWA schools Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications/special skillsA university degree from an accredited educational institution in Psychology. counselling, or clinical social work, is required. At least 5 years of relevant experience in managing MHPSS cases directly and receiving and referring to high-level cases; Including 3 years delivering PSS/child protection capacity building trainings; is required. (Master's degree with 4 years' experience out of which 3 years delivering MHPSS/child protection capacity building trainings;) may be considered.
