Work LocationBangkok Expected duration2.5 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesInvestment promotion agencies (IPAs) are adapting to global changes by focusing on sustainable development opportunities. UN ESCAP has been providing technical assistance and capacity-building support to its member state Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) to support their national and regional investment attraction and promotion work in sustainable development sectors. The contractor will support the Trade, Investment and Innovation Division through the production of strategic communications materials, including VoxPop-style interviews and event highlight videos, to showcase developments, perspectives, and lessons learned from key project activities. The exact scope and timing of these activities will be defined based on the event schedule. Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Economic Affairs Officer, Innovation, Enterprise and Investment Section of the Trade, Investment and Innovation Division, the responsibilities are: Video Content Development, Planning, Production and Delivery - Work with ESCAP to define the goals, style, and timing for VoxPop and event highlight videos. - Coordinate with ESCAP team and communication focal point to create a script, structure and/or guiding questions for each video. - Coordinate with event organizers and communications staff to identify interview opportunities during events. - Film, edit, and produce VoxPop and highlight videos. - Follow United Nations ESCAP and donor branding and messaging guidelines. - Format all videos with both horizontal and vertical aspect ratio for different platforms, including YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram, ensuring versions are optimized. - Revise submitted videos upon suggestions of the ESCAP team. Qualifications/special skills- Bachelor's degree in media production, communications, journalism, or a related field. - Minimum 5 years of experience in video production and communications in development contexts. - Financial proposal per deliverable (A. – C.) must be mentioned in application. - Experience producing short-form video content for international organizations. Experience working with the United Nations is beneficial. - Strong storytelling and editing skills. LanguagesGood spoken communication skills in English are required.
