WRIโs Food, Land & Water Program seeks a just transition in the worldโs food, land, and water systems to resiliently meet the needs of all people, halt natural ecosystem and biodiversity loss by 2030, and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. This role will support the Food pillar within the program, helping two critical flagship initiatives elevate their global positioning. Sustainable Diets WRI was one of the first research organizations to highlight the critical role of shifting diets to address the worldโs climate goals. In 2019, we launched Coolfood, a groundbreaking initiative to curb food-related greenhouse gas emissions in the food service sector, underpinned by the latest climate and behavioral science. Coolfood now works with over 80 organizations serving 8 billion meals a year to shift demand towards healthier and more sustainable plant rich food. Food loss and waste As the global secretariat of the Champions 12.3 coalition, WRI works with companies, countries and stakeholders along the food supply chain to deliver SDG 12.3, the worldโs goal to halve food loss and waste to 2030. We do this by identifying practical actions to reduce food loss and waste, convening critical actors, and building capacity. Through Champions 12.3โsflagship initiatives โ10x20x30โ and โ10x20kx30โ, we work with major food companies and their supply chain partners to take a โtarget, measure, actโ approach to reducing food loss and waste.
Job Highlight:
The Marketing and Communications Sr. Specialist is a critical part of growing WRIโs Food initiatives. Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager and working closely with WRIโs internal communications experts, subject matter experts and our external partners, you will be responsible for setting a clear digital strategy and executing it across web, social and email platforms for WRIโs two primary food initiatives. This role is also supporting the growth and development of the Coolfood and Champions 12.3 brands by working with partners to grow the visibility of our work together while ensuring WRIโs brand integrity. This fast-paced role requires someone who is highly collaborative, technically skilled in marketing and communications, and has experience proactively managing and prioritizing multiple projects.

Strategic Communications and Marketing- 50%
Brand Management- 50% Cross Cutting maintenance for WRIโs Food Brand through web, digital and email in collaboration with contractors and other WRI staffCollaborating and advising external partners on joint marketing opportunities that can grow the Coolfood brandEnsuring brand guidelines are being followed by members and external partners and providing feedback and recommendations on ways to improve their marketing materialsWrite an every-other-month newsletter that promotes the WRI Food brand with eye for presentation and compelling contentProject managing key web updates on a quarterly basis by identifying changes that need to be made and overseeing executionAsset management of content on Sharepoint

Potential Salary: Salary range is between 69,000 and 73,000 USD. Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors. WRI offers a competitive remuneration and benefits package.
