CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and team leader for professional for the Procurement Coordinator to be part of the Business Services Department.

 

The position will be based at CIMMYT headquarters in Texcoco, State of Mexico, near Mexico City.

 

Specific duties:

 

Ensure timely processing and execution of purchase requisitions. Review and validate procurement requests for compliance and accuracy. Track procurement activities to ensure alignment with project timelines. Supervise procurement analysts and buyers, monitoring their daily performance. Maintain and update KPI dashboards to evaluate team effectiveness and efficiency. Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to direct reports to foster professional development. Facilitate vendor onboarding and maintain effective communication channels with suppliers. Ensure vendor compliance with quality, cost, and delivery standards. Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews and provide feedback to the procurement team. Leverage procurement data analytics to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and efficiency improvements. Develop and propose initiatives to enhance procurement processes. Implement procurement best practices identified through data-driven insights. Design work plans and align the team workloads to those plans to ensure effectiveness on all efforts. Anticipate procurement challenges and proactively implement solutions. Promote and facilitate the adoption of ERP systems and digital procurement tools. Train team members in effective utilization of procurement technologies Assist in monitoring the procurement budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities. Provide regular budget expenditure updates to senior management.

Requirements

The candidate must have a bachelor\u2019s degree / master\u2019s degree in Business Administration, International Business Administration, or similar. Advanced level of English language (English test will be administered; candidate must score a minimum of C1 as per CEFR). At least 5 years of work experience in a similar position. Procurement or Supply Chain certification is desirable. Experience managing teams of at least 5 people. The selected candidate must exhibit the following competencies: Critical Thinking, Teamwork, Client Orientation, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution
