Work LocationNew York Expected duration3 to 6 months Spring/Summer 2025 Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the internship position encompass all aspects of the Directorates work. These responsibilities may include but are not limited to: • Assist in analysing and interpreting counter-terrorism instruments and laws from a gender perspective. • Research and collect information pertaining to gender and counter-terrorism matters. • Assist in the preparation of analytical gender background and briefing papers. • Assist in drafting reports, summary notes and correspondence relating to gender and counter-terrorism. • Maintain awareness of relevant gender and WPS issues, including at country level. • Assist in preparing documents needed for the organization of workshops, seminars and briefings. • Liaise with external partners, as appropriate. • Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications/special skillsApplicants must, at the time of their submission, be enrolled in a graduate school programme (i.e. Master's degree or equivalent degree, or higher), preferably in the area of law, political science, international relations, social sciences or a related field, OR have graduated with a university degree as defined above AND, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period from the date of graduation.
