We have an excellent opportunity for a Legal Adviser (Legislative Support and Law Reform) to join our Governance and Peace Directorate.

Reporting to the Head of Rule of Law Section (RoL), the post-holder will provide legal and policy advisory services to Commonwealth member countries. The post-holder will be responsible for Providing leadership of the legislative support and law reform programme of RoL Section and delivering legal and policy advice and facilitating research and the development of legal policy either individually or as part of the RoL team.

To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:

A degree in law from a Commonwealth jurisdiction

A minimum of ten yearsโ€™ all-round experience in the practice of law with clear evidence of experience at a senior level in:

- Constitutional law.
- Administrative law.
- Legislative drafting and/or management of programmes in legislative support and law reform.

Experience in project design and management will be an advantage.
